The Overtures - 60's Tribute Act
The Overtures are the UK's finest Sixties tribute act. Formed in 1989, they are firm favourites on the private party and corporate event circuit, performing for the likes of Sir Paul McCartney at his after-show party in December 2009 at Matter nightclub at The O2 Arena, Elvis Costello and Diane Krall, Chris Difford of Squeeze, Kenney Jones (ex of The Who and The Small Faces), the annual Liverpool Beatles Convention, the Cavern Club and many, many others too confidential to mention.
THE BOOTLEG SIXTIES THEATRE SHOW
The Overtures also tour their own theatre production: The Bootleg Sixties Sight and Sound Show.
The Bootleg Sixties show is a true celebration of everything that made the 1960s one of the most significant decades of the 20th Century, encapsulating the essence of the sixties in a hit packed, epic two hour show. Through a mixture of live performance and visual spectacle, pop music’s greatest decade is brought back to life with the classic fashion, newsreel and iconic video footage of the period, and music including hits made famous by: The Kinks, The Doors, Simon & Garfunkel, The Hollies, The Beach Boys, The Monkees, The Byrds, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Yardbirds, The Animals and many more.
